It is as if Tesla, with its reduced prices for the Model Y, found a market that was not there before: the Americans have expanded the Danish market for new cars in 2023, and many Danes have taken the leap with the Model Y and bought themselves an electric car .

You can talk too much about the Model Y. Yes, it’s popular, but it’s not the only car out there, and it’s certainly not the only electric family crossover.

One of the most popular of the others is the Skoda Enyaq, and the Czech model is one of the best in its class with a spacious and in every way practical interior, great driving characteristics and good range.

A little more powerful than the 204 hp that the Enyaq 80 variant has driven with, the Enyaq would like to be – without there being any reason to go all the way up to the expensive RS edition. With the new 85 variant, which replaces the 80, there is more power in the Enyaq.

A little more range

The technical renewal comes as a result of the electric motor, which debuted in the Volkswagen ID.7. It is an electric motor with 286 hp and an unusually muscular torque of 545 Nm. It is also more efficient, which is why the range increases slightly to 557 kilometers.

The charging power is the only thing that lags a little: 135 kW on a fast charger is not impressive, but if the Enyaq can maintain that level during much of the charge, it may turn out to be an okay capacity.

The engine stands together with a new and more well-thought-out infotainment system, which provides a better overall experience of the fine family car.

The price of the Enyaq 85 Premium at the time of recording the video was DKK 419,995, but it has just been reduced to DKK 379,995.
