Audi’s Porsche Macan, the Q6 e-tron, was already cheaper than the original, but another 12 grand is reduced with a new entry-level model.
In March, the new Audi Q6 e-tron was unveiled. At first glance, it looks like a blown-up Audi Q4 e-tron, but looks can be deceiving. The car is built on a brand new platform that it shares with the new Porsche Macan, the PPE platform.
The new platform means that the Q6 e-tron also uses 800V technology. This means that you can now fast-charge with 270 kW. That is still 100 kW more compared to the Q8 e-tron. Furthermore, you have up to 625 km range.
The prices followed in early April. The starting price of the Audi Q6 e-tron at that time was 77,950 euros. For that amount you get the e-tron quattro with two electric motors and 388 hp. And you get a large 100 kWh battery, which makes a range of 625 km possible.
Almost 80 grand! Cheaper than the Porsche Macan, but fortunately less expensive versions were also announced. Those less expensive versions are now on our digital doormat.
New engine Audi Q6 e-tron
This is a rear-wheel drive (yes!) version with a different engine. The new entry-level model is equipped with a 215 kW electric motor and an 83 kWh battery pack. This new basic model can travel a maximum of 533 kilometers according to the WLTP.
The Audi Q6 e-tron with the new drivetrain and the ‘edition’ equipment level forms the new basis of the range. For that you always get, among other things, 18 inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, an electrically operated tailgate, automatic air conditioning with three climate zones and seat heating.
The Audi Q6 e-tron edition is now the entry-level model and is on the price list starting at a mere 65,950 euros.
Launch Edition
The new basic engine and battery pack will also be available as an Advanced edition and S edition, but also temporarily and limited as the Audi Q6 e-tron Launch Edition. You can check that in the configurator from 69,950 euros.
For this you get, among other things, 19-inch alloy wheels, bumpers in body color, LED High lighting including high beam assistant, heating of the steering wheel and front seats, Advanced pre-heating, Connect Key and TopView with parking assistant.
The interior of the Launch edition gets an extra sporty touch thanks to the S line interior, including fabric-leatherette upholstery. For the sake of completeness, the Launch Edition also gets a spacious frunk in the front. Apparently, that is not standard in other editions.
