Some of the specifications of Hyundai Motor Company’s Casper electric vehicle (EV) have been revealed. According to the Ministry of Environment, Casper EV can drive up to 295 km on a single charge and has a battery capacity of 49 kWh. The maximum output of the electric motor is 115 horsepower. Casper EV is Casper’s electrified model and is an entry-level electric vehicle. It will be released globally on the 27th.
Casper EV is Casper’s electric vehicle model that aims to lead the popularization of the electric vehicle market. Casper EV is equipped with a 49kWh battery. The driving distance for a single full charge is 295 km at room temperature (323 in the city, 262 at high speed) and 245 km at low temperature (236 in the city, 256 at high speed) based on the Ministry of Environment and the 15-inch constant-speed model.
Casper EV is equipped with a front-wheel electric motor and produces a maximum output of 115 horsepower. Casper EV curb weight is 1335 kg. For reference, the Casper 1.0 gasoline turbo has a maximum output of 100 horsepower and a curb weight of 1030 kg. Casper EV is a passenger car, not a compact car, and its overall length and wheelbase are expected to be longer than those of an internal combustion engine.
Casper EV inherits the solid silhouette of the basic model but has a differentiated image by adding electric design elements. The front part has turn signal lights and surface-emitting daytime running lights that reflect pixel graphics, and the rear part has tail & stop lamps. The interior is equipped with high-end specifications such as a digital instrument panel.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company plans to unveil the Casper EV for the first time at the 2024 Busan Mobility Show on the 27th of this month. In addition, customers who apply for the advance information notification event through the Casper website will be entered into a drawing and receive fast-track tickets and gift certificates to quickly receive Casper Electric.
