For all motorsport connoisseurs, Mercedes-AMG is launching a special edition in conjunction with F1 sponsor Petronas’ 50th anniversary. Are you possibly one in 200?
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition” will be the name and in addition to an F1-inspired paint job and various interior details, it is the twin-turbo V8 of 612 hp that is found under the hood, just like in the AMG GT 63 Pro.
A reasonably generous 200 examples are built and to further enhance the car’s presence, the “Motorsport Collectors Edition” has been equipped with the AMG Night Package II. The package includes, among other things, black details, text and Mercedes star.
The Petronas green color also adorns the interior in the form of panels, seams and detail lighting.
In terms of sound, you have to make do with the Burmester High End 3D Surrounded Sound System with 15 speakers. You will then find an emblem with the text 1 out of 200 when you look at the center console.
After the Sunday ride, you can then pull over the custom-made AMG chapel and have a cup of coffee and think about whether it’s time for another cup (or a ride).
In addition, the Mercedes Formula 1 team competes with specially foiled cars this weekend in honor. The fact that the tribute takes place precisely in connection with the Singapore GP is based on the fact that Petronas’ headquarters are located in the neighboring country of Malaysia.
Price information is not shown in the press release. However, it is inevitable that it will have an impact on the economy. For a “standard” Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+, you have to cough up north of two miles.
