A Rolls of €1,045,870 and more nice Brits on a new license plate

In addition to the Phantom, worth over a million euros, several other beautiful English cars have been registered.

In a previous article we looked at the Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Maseratis that were registered in August. This time we look at some English brands.

Aston Martin

In August, 22 Aston Martins were provided with a new Dutch license plate. Seven examples came fresh from the factory in Gaydon, a DBX707, a DB12 (coupe) and five times a DB12 Volante. All with a 3,982 cc V8, which delivers 680 hp in the DB12 and even 707 hp in the DBX707.

Among the imported Astons we often see the DBX appear, seven times no less, four of which are the 707 version. However, we see many other nice cars, from a small Cygnet (derived from the Toyota IQ) to a rare DB2/4 from 1956, which we will come back to later.

In between these two extremes we find a 1971 DBS V8, a 2008 V8 Vantage, a 2016 Vanquish Volante, a DB9, a DB11 and a DB11 Volante.

Bentley

Nineteen Bentleys appeared on Dutch license plates in August, but there was only one completely new example among them, a Bentayga V6 Hybrid S. It was apparently the silly season at the importer.

The cars that came to the Netherlands via import are mainly different variants of the Continental GT(C). Eleven to be precise, including a GTC W12 Speed with a registered catalogue price of €462,910.

We also see 3x Flying Spur, an Arnage from 2006, a Continental R Mulliner from 2002, a Turbo R from 1989 and the oldest, a beautiful Bentley S3 Saloon from April 1963.

Land Rover

As for Land Rover, we can be quite brief this month: 594 units have appeared on the registration plate, of which more than 300 completely new. The most powerful and also most expensive is a Range Rover P530 LWB with, you guessed it, 530 hp and a price tag of €276,208.

Lotus

At Lotus we saw eleven completely new copies appear on the registration plate, ten Eletres (of which one R version with 918 hp) and one Emira. Yes, so still with a slurry engine, a four-cylinder two-liter petrol engine that delivers 364 hp.

Through the import we not only saw a green Elan +2 S130 from 1973 being registered, but also a nice variation of somewhat newer models: a red Esprit from 1984, a purple Elan from 1995, two Elises, a black Exige S from 2014 and finally a white Evora S from 2015. All great fun cars and a nice enrichment of the Dutch fleet!

McLaren

Last month we were able to report that the first Artura Spider had appeared on Dutch license plates and in August a second copy was added, a blue one! If you want to help get more on license plates, visit Louwman Exclusive, there are still two for sale. Small detail, they do cost around €360,000.

Morgan

Two Morgans appeared in August on Dutch license plates. A brand new green Plus Six, equipped with a 340 hp 2,998 cc six-cylinder, and a red Plus 8 from 1986.

Rolls-Royce

The biggest news in the field of recently registered Rolls-Royces has already been discussed extensively in a nice article about the most expensive Phantom in the Netherlands. In case you missed the price tag: €1,045,870!

Through the import, five Rolls-Royces eventually ended up on a new Dutch license plate: a Camargue from 1978, a Corniche from 1979, a Corniche II from 1986, a Dawn from 2019 and finally a Ghost Black Badge from 2022. It is strange that the Dawn had a new price of €560,093 and that this now almost seems ‘cheap’ after the story about the Phantom.
