With its V12, the Aston Martin Vanquish will not disappoint in terms of sound.
With much fanfare and attention, Aston Martin will soon launch the Vanquish. The British car manufacturer is trying to create a hype by already giving the upcoming model a lot of attention.
That goes much further than, for example, the then new DBS or the DB12. For example, Aston Martin’s Instagram page has been emptied and only teasers regarding the new Vanquish are displayed. On the website, visitors are shown the text “All Will Be Vanquished”. The British car manufacturer has also announced the sound.
Aston Martin Vanquish sound
That’s a good one, because at least our ears get a nice foretaste of this beast. The new Aston Martin Vanquish has a twin-turbo V12. The block delivers a whopping 835 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Although there have been some adjustments in terms of hardware, the block basically has the same sound as other Aston Martin models. Think of the DBS Superleggera or the V12 Vantage.
You can’t really complain about that. Because despite the two turbos, Aston Martin has managed to give the V12 a nice sound. In an era of increasingly electric cars like this new Vanquish, but also for example the new Ferrari 12cylindri are more than welcome.
There is no date yet. With this teaser, Aston Martin makes it clear that the new Vanquish is not that far away. Aim for an unveiling sometime this year, with customer deliveries in 2025.
With a line-up consisting of the DBX, Vantage, DB12 and soon the Vanquish, Lawrence Stroll’s brand hopes to finally become the success they so much hope for in Gaydon. That is no easy task, a brand like Maserati has already shown that the luxury car market has a hard time without a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche badge on the bonnet.

I can well imagine that an Aston Martin is a lot more desirable than a Maserati. That brand has always felt a bit like the Fiat of Ferrari. Not quite. Apart from that, I think what Stroll achieves and aspires to is incredibly clever. So I hope that Aston Martin stays in any case.

Good move. Too bad it took them so long. It was clear for a long time that a V12 is a USP compared to, for example, Bentley, which they got rid of. A DBX with a V12 seems attractive to customers as well. And it is more or less their own engine, not a purchased Mercedes block.
