The new Q5 is the third generation full change. The new Q5 is based on Audi’s new platform PPC (Premium Platform Combustion). The PPC platform is a dedicated internal combustion engine platform and is optimized for the latest engines and hybrids. The new Q5, like the previous generation, is produced at Audi’s Mexico plant.

The new Q5 body size is 4717mm in overall length, 1900mm in overall width, 1625mm in overall height, and has a wheelbase of 2828mm. It has become longer and wider overall compared to the existing Q5. It is larger than its rivals, the Genesis GV70 partial change and the BMW X3 full change. However, the wheelbase, which affects the interior space, is the shortest for the new Q5.

The front of the new Q5 features sleekly designed matrix LED headlamps, a large single-frame grille with sensors, and daytime running lights with internal graphics that can be selected according to customer preference. The rear features second-generation OLED tail lamps. The tail lamps also offer a total of eight internal graphics.

The exterior of the new Q5 reflects the brand’s latest design language. The front daytime running lights and the second-generation OLED rear lamps can change the interior graphics according to customer preference. The interior features an 11.9-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.5-inch display, a 10.9-inch passenger display, and Bang & Olufsen 3D sound.

The new Q5 powertrain is based on a 48V mild hybrid. The diesel and gasoline engines are equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 204 horsepower. The SQ5 is equipped with a high-performance gasoline engine with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 367 horsepower. The new Q5 offers adaptive air suspension as an option.
