Big electric car test: Tesla not the best – still most popular

When the best electric cars are chosen by an American consumer organization, BMW ends up at the top. But Tesla still sells the most.

The American consumer organization Consumer reports has compiled which are the 14 best electric cars in 2024. The result is based on tests they have carried out over the past year.

In the tests, performance, reliability, how satisfied the owners are and safety are checked, among other things – plus, of course, range and charging performance. And these are the models that get the best results.

The BMW iX ends up at the top, closely followed by the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and BMW i4.

Tesla ends up significantly further down, despite the fact that it still dominates the sales statistics for electric cars in the United States, according to the figures for May, writes Automotive News. In the same statistics, BMW ends up in sixth place and Hyundai in fourth.
