Jon Olsson’s Audi R8 supercharged is ideal for the winter weather!
As most people in the Netherlands (except the Antilles) can confirm, the weather is wonderfully wintery. Perfect to prepare for winter sports. Skis, poles, ski boots and of course it’s time to get the Audi quattro out of the stable. In many cases that is a big station wagon to bark in that direction.
But such an obesity bandwagon is not necessary. You can also grab this Audi R8 supercharged from Jon Olsson. If you don’t know Mr. Olsson, he was one of the first athletes who could control social media, YouTube and other things on the internet.

He is primarily a great skier, but that is not what he is best known for. A bit like Jutta Leerdam or Anna Kournikova, they have taken their sport very seriously, but also used it as a springboard to ‘market’ their ‘brand’. Yes, those marketing terms are wonderful on an empty stomach.
Mr. Olsson understood that you can draw attention with cars. Jon went much further than most people. This also allowed him to distinguish himself at the Gumball 3000, which he of course participated in. In fact, this Audi R8 supercharged was developed specifically with that rally in mind.

It is a special piece of technology and certainly not an R8 with a spoiler and open exhaust. The 5.2 V10 engine is equipped with not one, but two mechanical compressors. The result is a maximum power of 700 hp, about 180 hp more than what the block delivers as standard. The block sounds great (listen here!!)
Of course, the rest of the technology has been adjusted with things that will make yours truly salivate. Think of an adjustable coilover set from Öhlins, forged wheels and a major brake upgrade.
The PPI Razor body kit is also special. Usually it is some carbon fiber items such as a splitter and a spoiler. That is also the case now, but they have taken a major overhaul. Tackled it very hard, Mark Rutte would say. The entire body is now made of carbon. There are ten kits and this is of course the most special.
The most eye-catching item is the ski box. Olsson is and remains a ski gentleman. The ski box rests on the roof at the front, but on the extremely high spoiler at the back. Of course, enthusiasts of OEM cars and understated supercars will be disgusted.

Then you have a dream chassis, a V10 with 700 hp, and a crappy automatic transmission… Then you would have taken a facelift model as a basis.
