Cadillac Soleil Concept Unveiled, Rolls-Royce in Focus

Cadillac unveiled the Sollei concept on the 22nd (local time). The Sollei concept is a 4-seater convertible based on Cadillac’s top-of-the-line electric vehicle, the Celestiq. The interior features high-quality materials such as fine Nappa leather and wood trim. The exterior color is inspired by the 1957 Cadillac. Mass production has not been confirmed.

The Soleil Concept is based on Cadillac’s top-of-the-line electric vehicle, the Celestiq. The Celestiq is handcrafted on GM’s dedicated electric vehicle BEV3 platform and Ultium battery system. It is priced at $340,000 (about 472 million won) in the US. The range is over 486 km according to the EPA.

The Soleil Concept was developed to be the ultimate design expression of Cadillac’s customization program, Coach Build. The Soleil Concept is a four-seat convertible. The Soleil Concept’s exterior color is Manila Cream, inspired by a color first used on Cadillac vehicles in 1957. The roof is made of fabric.

The Soleil Concept doors open approximately 90 degrees to facilitate entry and exit for second-row passengers. The front windshield frame is made of billet aluminum. The interior features a 55-inch curved display, wood trim hand-selected and hand-crafted by artisans, fine Nappa leather seats, and Cadillac’s first bio-based material.

The second row of the Soleil Concept has a dedicated center console. It has a display that allows for overall vehicle control, a tray, a refrigerator, etc. The Celestiq, based on the Soleil Concept, has a total output of 608 horsepower, a maximum torque of 88.4 kgm, and a performance of 3.8 seconds from a standstill to 100 km/h through a dual-motor all-wheel drive.
