Chevrolet Traverse full change to be released in Korea, focus on Palisade

The Chevrolet Traverse full change is expected to be introduced domestically. According to an official at the domestic sales office, Chevrolet is planning to launch a full-change Traverse, and the target date is the first half of 2025. The new Traverse features a sophisticated exterior and interior, expanded interior space, a downsized engine, and enhanced basic specifications.

Full-scale production of the Traverse Full Change has been underway at the GM Lansing Delta plant in Delta Township, Michigan, USA since early this year. At the same time, full-scale deliveries to US customers have begun, and the new Traverse will be introduced in Korea as early as the first half of 2025. The new Traverse’s marketability has been significantly improved.

The new Traverse is equipped with front emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, Intellibeam, adaptive cruise control, HD surround vision, blind spot warning, rear parking assist, traffic sign recognition, intersection automatic emergency braking, rear Cross-collision prevention assist, etc. are installed as standard.

The new Traverse is based on the upgraded GM C1 platform and is equipped with a downsized turbo engine. The combination of a newly developed 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine and a GM 8-speed automatic transmission produces a maximum output of 328 horsepower and a maximum torque of 45.1kgm. It has secured higher performance than the existing 3.6-liter V6 engine.

The exterior of the new Traverse features sleekly designed daytime running lights, split headlamps, and a ‘C’-shaped rear lamp. The new Traverse operates as a 7/8-seater. It provides a column-type gear lever, 11-inch digital instrument panel, 17.7-inch display, and power folding seat. Trunk capacity is up to 2764 liters.

Compared to the previous generation, the US price of the new Traverse increased by at least $3,080 (about 4 million won) and up to $9,155 (about 12 million won) depending on the trim. The basic LS is priced at $38,995 (about 53 million won), the LT is $41,395 (about 57 million won), and the RS is $55,595 (about 76 million won). Domestic prices are also expected to increase.
