Back to the Audi A8. This gem on Marktplaats is for sale for a bargain price. Seriously, for the asking price of 4,900 euros you can score an enormously luxurious car for less than five grand. This generation A8 may look a bit dated, but as a youngtimer you can pay all the costs with a smile. Until it really isn’t funny anymore of course, that’s always the tricky thing with these kinds of cars.
Audi A8 used
This particular example is equipped with the mighty 6.0 W12. With 451 hp and 580 Nm of torque, it is silent on the autobahn fahren. Unless there is a squeak or creak, because we are still talking about a 20 year old car. With a sprint time of 5.2 sec to one hundred kilometers per hour, the A8 still holds its own. The top speed is 250 km/h.
King Willem-Alexander also has an Audi A8. Although a generation newer, he will not have seen the inside of this example. Still, it is a nice idea to drive in the same model series as your own king. That is kingly, kingly! As Jack van Gelder would say.
The low price of 4,900 euros does not have so much to do with the Audi A8 as a car, but with the mileage. This creamy twelve-cylinder has driven 594,029 kilometers! I really don’t want to know how many gas stations this Audi has seen. There must be a lot. In the Marktplaats advertisement, the word ‘guarantee’ is nowhere to be found. Maybe there is something to negotiate.
