No fakes or X-Classes: a real Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 on Marktplaats. And that costs a lot of money.
You do wonder what was in the drinking water in Stuttgart about ten years ago. Mercedes decided quite unexpectedly to come up with a six-wheeled version of the Mercedes G-Class. The G63 AMG 6×6 can only be described with superlatives. Huge tires, portal axles for enormous ground clearance, air compressors to inflate (and deflate) the tires at the push of a button and you would almost forget: a 544 hp 5.5 liter V8. And that with six wheels that are all driven.

It will come as no surprise that Mercedes did not build many copies of the G63 AMG 6×6, there are not many more than 100. There are many fakes doing the rounds, because with a bit of sculpting you can make a semi-convincing replica. The 6×6 was built by Brabus and they reportedly built even more, and the copies from Mansory are not always original Mercedes either. In short: if a 6×6 shows up on Marktplaats, it is almost always a fake G 6×6 or an X-Class 6×6.
Real 6×6 on Marktplaats
This time none of that. A real Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 on Marktplaats! And also one that has hardly been used, although that goes for most 6×6s. There are only 12,229 kilometers on the clock.
The specification is ‘modest’, by 6×6 standards. Black exterior, but the cool brown check pattern in the seats. You still get enough luxury for the type of car, although you do get the rather badly aging Mercedes interior of ten years ago. No problem, the buttons in the roof for the air compressors and second fuel tank and the wood inlay in the back make up for a lot.

The real Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 on Marktplaats could be yours! It is from 2017 and has therefore hardly been driven in that time, but unfortunately it is not a bargain. Although, transactions for amounts with seven figures have been done with the 6×6, so 649,950 euros is still reasonable. That seems to be the amount excluding VAT, so don’t count your chickens before they hatch. It is certainly a unique opportunity. Then buy!!1!
