Finally official: Jack Doohan to Alpine

Before the summer break, we were able to go out with the news from reliable sources that Jack Doohan will be a regular driver at Alpine for 2025. Now the team confirms this information.

– It is pleasing to be promoted to a race seat in 2025 with the BWT Alpine F1 Team, says Jack Doohan, according to F1.com.

– I am grateful for the trust and confidence that the team’s management has shown.

Jack Doohan, son of the former world champion in the 500cc class Mick Doohan, joins Pierre Gasly as a teammate and thus replaces Esteban Ocon, who in turn changes stables to the Haas F1 Team.

– We are looking forward to promoting Jack for next season, who will now have the chance to show his skills in Formula 1, says the team’s newly appointed team manager, Oliver Oakes, according to the same source.

– Jack will be the first to take the step from the Alpine Academy to become a racing driver within the team, which in itself is great fun for the whole team and its program for young drivers.

Among Jack Doohan’s achievements is a second place in Formula 3 in the 2021 season and a third place in Formula 2 in the 2023 season. Jack Doohan becomes the third Australian driver in the field, along with McLaren driver Oscar Piastri and RB driver Daniel Ricciardo.
