Even smarter, even more intelligent, even simpler: With new apps and services, the Stellantis Group wants to make its cars fit for the future.

In keeping with the philosophy of “Make my journey safer, make my life easier and make my journey more exciting,” Stellantis develops networked services and software-based functions for private and fleet customers. At a press conference, the car company presented new services and provided information on the development status of existing offers.

Navigation app “e-Routes” guides based on vehicle data

Stellantis claims to be the first car manufacturer to launch a route planning smartphone app across Europe that was specifically developed for electric vehicles and connects to vehicle data in real time. This year, it will expand worldwide.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto project “e-Routes” (the name of the app) onto the vehicle’s central screen. Charging stops are tailored to the driver’s preferences, including payment options and minimum battery charge level.

ChatGPT as copilot and virtual assistant

Ask questions, get information or just have a chat: the AI ​​ChatGPT can do a lot. Stellantis also wants to use the expertise – and integrates ChatGPT into its infotainment systems. COMPUTER BILD was already able to test ChatGPT as a beta in a vehicle from the Stellantis brand DS. Now the next step follows: ChatGPT is to be offered as a standard function for new and existing vehicles in 20 European countries by the end of 2024.

AppMarket: Extras for a subscription fee

In North America, the AppMarket integrated into Stellantis vehicles is the central point of contact for connectivity. The platform integrates regularly updated services and experiences with the ability to subscribe directly in the vehicle. AppMarket has been made available in North America for nearly half of Jeep and Ram vehicles from model years 2021 to 2023 via over-the-air update and will reach 99 percent of eligible vehicles by the end of 2024. A similar service is now also available for eligible vehicles in Europe.
