GMC unveils new Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe upscale version

GMC unveiled the new Yukon on the 20th (local time). The new Yukon has a changed front design due to a partial change, and the interior has been newly applied with a 16.8-inch vertical display and an 8-inch auxiliary display. The off-road-specific AT4 Ultimate trim has been newly established. Sales will begin in the US in the second half of this year.

The Yukon is a full-size SUV that shares its platform and powertrain with the Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade. The new Yukon will go on sale in the United States in the second half of this year. GMC plans to expand the countries where the new Yukon is available, including introducing a right-hand drive version for Australia. Domestic launch is yet to be determined.

The new Yukon is a 4th generation partial change model. The front of the new Yukon has daytime running lights, headlights, and a large grille that reflect GMC’s latest design language. The upper trims add lighting animation to the grille. The new Yukon offers wheels up to 24 inches. The rear lamps have changed graphics.

The heart of the new Yukon is its interior. It features a 16.8-inch portrait display, an 8-inch auxiliary display for the second row, a panoramic sunroof, a 22-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system, and second-row executive seats. When the Bose sound option is selected, stainless steel headrest speakers are provided for the first row.

The new Yukon has a new AT4 Ultimate trim that is specialized for luxury and off-road driving, such as air ride adaptive suspension and full-grain leather seats. The new Yukon is operated by 5.3 V8 and 6.2 V8 gasoline, and 3.0 diesel. It supports the latest ADAS systems, such as thermal sensing night vision and Super Cruise.
