Is there the world’s best charging station in Gothenburg?

As the only Swedish contribution to reach the final, the Circle K station Vädermotet in Gothenburg is participating and competing to become the world’s best electric car hub.

The competition is organized by the retail specialist Insight and the mobility company Vontier. The aim is to determine which charging station is the best in the world.

The unique thing about Vädermotet is its size. The station opened in 2020 and has since been adapted for, among other things, charging heavy vehicles.

– This is a real success story, says Johan Söderberg, Director Fuel & E-mobility at Circle K.

– Vädermotet has become exactly the hub for the conversion of heavy traffic that we had hoped for, and this nomination is an important confirmation that we are doing the right things.

It is above all around the heavy side where Vädermotet stands out in the competition. Vädermotet is also one of the stations where the largest number of kWh are charged globally.

– We dare to stick our chins out and say that our lessons from the Vädermotet have given us a recipe for success for how we can electrify the heavy traffic, Johan Söderberg concludes.

– In combination with our enormous investment in charging infrastructure for light traffic, we ensure that the transition has good conditions to be ahead of electric car development.

If you want to participate and vote, you can do so here. Voting runs until April 30.
