Kia K3 full change captured, sleek coupe style ‘eye catching’

The Kia K4 (tentative name) test car was captured. The K4 test car published in Cascoop, an overseas automobile media outlet, is a full-change model of the K3 and features sleek side parts reminiscent of a coupe-type sedan and uniquely designed front and rear parts. The interior is equipped with a wide display. It will be released in the third quarter of this year.

The K3 undergoes a full change in about 6 years since its launch in 2018. Kia recently changed the name of the Rio Full Change, which is sold only in some markets such as Mexico, to K3, and the name of the K3 being used in the domestic and U.S. markets will be changed to K4 through the full change. The K4 has a coupe style.

The K4 has maximized sportiness compared to the previous generation, with a smooth roofline, long rear overhang, and low body. In particular, the side part is reminiscent of the discontinued Kia Stinger. The second-row door handle is located on the C-pillar. The Kia family look was applied to the front, including vertical headlamps and star map signature lighting.

The rear part is equipped with an ‘ㄱ’ design tail lamp. The design and interior graphics are similar to Kia’s new Carnival. The interior features a uniquely designed new steering wheel, a wide display that connects the digital instrument panel and display into one, and a newly designed dashboard and center console.

Depending on the country of release, the K4 powertrain is operated with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gasoline naturally aspirated and turbo engine, and a 2.0 gasoline naturally aspirated engine. Additionally, according to Carscoop, the K4 is expected to be a hybrid based on a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gasoline naturally aspirated engine and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system will be introduced in some countries.
