Nowadays everything is performance, it seems. We started with the Toyota GR Yaris facelift, then the Nissan Ariyah Nismo and the Lexus LBX Morizo ​​RR. Now it’s time for the next Japanese, namely the Lexus RZ450e F Sport Performance.
Of course, people who like an elegant dark blue 2+2 coupe with cream leather will not immediately warm to it. But for fans of the sportier JDM stuff, this is fun.
Certainly a brand like Lexus is again focusing on the sportier driver. Because let’s be honest, they didn’t always get as much attention as necessary from Lexus.
Patatje Paay on wheels
Well, when it comes to attention, you can’t go wrong with the Lexus RZ450e F Sport Performance (because that’s really what it’s called), because you will stand out with this case. It almost looks like a car that has been overhauled by a renowned tuner, but this is a factory car!
There is an intense body kit a la fries Paay. That means EVERYTHING over it (except Curry). So thicker bumpers, larger 21″ Enkei alloys, carbon diffuser, fender extensions, blue brakes and even more carbon fiber trim.
Oh, and when it comes to spoilers: there isn’t one big wing, well, there are two! Of course it’s not beautiful in the traditional sense of the word, but it’s certainly coolly done. EVs are fast these days, but they lack a nice rough edge. Visually, this Lexus RZ450e F Sport Performance has that edge.

What about the technical aspect? Well, that’s a bit disappointing. In principle it has sufficient power, but it is not EXTRA power compared to the model from which the RZ450e F Sport Performance is derived. The regular Lexus RZ, that is.
There is a 204 hp electric motor between the Enkeis at the front, and 109 hp at the rear. So basically most of the power goes to the front wheels.
Now manufacturers often play with these types of concepts. It provides a little extra brand awareness. But Lexus is going to put the RZ450e F Sport Performance into production! Of course!
We didn’t see that coming, to be honest. It is true that it will be a limited edition. After 100 pieces it’s over and done with. The asking price in Japan is 74,206.60 euros.
