New BYD Tang 4×4:

Now the new BYD Tang 4×4 Long Range is ready for Norway. The car gets a bigger battery, more equipment and otherwise the same success factors as before.

Now a new BYD Tang 4×4 is finally ready for the Norwegian market, with upgraded battery capacity that gives increased range, as well as more equipment than before. The car can be test driven at your nearest BYD dealer with customer delivery at the end of the third quarter.

Since its launch in 2021, the BYD Tang 4×4 has been a success on Norwegian roads. When it is now launched in a new edition, BYD builds on the success factors of its predecessor and offers seven seats, four-wheel drive and a large luggage compartment.

The new BYD Tang 4×4 Long Range combines spaciousness and power, with room for seven people and a luggage compartment that holds 578 litres. It can also tow a trailer of up to 1,500 kg and take a roof load of up to 75 kg.

Larger battery gives increased range

The new BYD Tang 4×4 is equipped with a powerful 108.8 kWt battery that gives an impressive range of up to 530 km (WLTP combined). Like all BYD models on the Norwegian market, it comes with the renowned and ultra-safe Blade battery as standard.

In addition, the car is equipped with an 11 kW 3-phase AC built-in charger. With a maximum charging capacity of 170 kW on the DC charger, the battery can be quickly charged from 30-80% in just 30 minutes.

Plenty of room for the extended family: BYD Tang meets Mercedes EQB

It comes with an advanced and energy-saving heat pump system as standard.

Upgraded design

The exterior of the new BYD Tang 4×4 has received a renewed design, introducing the latest generation with the Dragon Face design language. The car has been given a renewed front with modern, angular LED headlights and a new grill. It is complemented by 21-inch alloy wheels.

With a length of 4,970 mm, a width of 1,955 mm and a height of 1,745 mm, the new model is larger than its predecessor – especially in the length which has grown by 10 cm.

It is equipped with seven seats as standard and thus offers plenty of space for both passengers and luggage. The seats in the third row can be easily folded into the floor, while the seats in the second row can be folded down in a practical 60:40 configuration for increased flexibility.

Luxurious interior

On the inside, it retains the luxurious design elements, and can be delivered with both black and brown interior.

The comfortable front seats are upholstered in diamond-shaped quilted Nappa leather and offer electric adjustment, a massage function with heating and ventilation as standard.

The panoramic sunroof lets in natural light, and an electric sunshade protects against strong sunlight. Air quality is ensured by an interior filter and an active air purification system that ensures fresh ventilation.

The Tang 4×4 is equipped with an intelligent cockpit system with a 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver and a 15.6-inch touchscreen for infotainment. The built-in voice assistant, activated with “Hey BYD”, allows users to easily adjust settings and functions with voice commands. The voice assistant can also identify where in the car the voice is coming from.

With built-in 4G connectivity and apps like Spotify and HERE navigation, Tang provides seamless connectivity via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. BYD Cloud Services enables remote control of functions via the BYD app, including door lock, window opening, three-zone air conditioning, and more.

In addition, the new edition comes with an extended equipment list, which includes Head-up Display, electronically adjustable front seats with heating and massage, 31 ambient lights, heated leather steering wheel, Dynaudio Speaker system with 12 speakers and V2L function.

Top safety rewarded in Euro NCAP

The car is equipped with advanced driving assistance that provides security while driving. The system uses 22 different sensors, including ultrasonic radars and cameras, to adapt to the driver’s driving style and improve safety. The level of safety has been awarded with five stars and a full pot in the Euro NCAP crash test.

For easy parking, the Tang 4×4 has a 360-degree camera that shows the area around the car on the 15.6-inch screen, giving the driver a view to maneuver in tight spaces. LED headlights provide good visibility at night, with functions such as automatic high beam and adaptation to the road.

The driver can choose between four different driving modes – Sport, Normal, Eco and Snow. In the Snow function, the car has a constant 50:50 distribution and thus becomes a real cabin mower.

New BYD Tang 4×4 is available to order at a price of NOK 699,900. This price includes the Flagship equipment package as standard, to the value of 119,900, as well as seven seats at no additional cost.

The car will be available for test driving at our dealers within a few days.
