The first cars should already have been driving around in the Netherlands, but software threw a spanner in the works.
Things aren’t going exactly as planned at Stellantis at the moment. The mega-concern announced its half-year figures last week and there was no champagne involved. The profit had halved compared to a year ago.
For the second half of the year, Stellantis is now pinning its hopes on the new models, but there is now a major setback on that point. The most important new model is being delayed. That is of course not very convenient.
We are talking about the Citroën ë-C3. This one has everything it takes to become a bestseller. With a price tag of €23,300, it is one of the cheapest EVs, while not being a refined moped like the Dacia Spring.
What is the reason for the delay? You will be surprised: software… These problems only occur at a late stage, because the introduction was already in October. During the last checks, there were still software problems. As a result, deliveries could not start in the second quarter as planned.
When will customers be able to receive their coveted ë-C3? According to a spokesman, that will be after the summer holidays. So it’s a delay of a few months. But hey, anything is better than a car that is simply launched on the market, including software problems. Still, Volkswagen?

Not only VW, Volvo EX30 to name one, they are still busy rewriting the software. Microsoft also suffers from it sometimes

After the summer holidays… is a very broad concept.
