Renault Grand Koleos mass production begins, when will it be officially released?

Renault Korea announced on the 16th that it began mass production of the Grand Koleos on the 15th. The Grand Koleos is Renault Korea’s next-generation D-segment SUV produced at the Busan plant and is equipped with a gasoline turbo, hybrid, and the first passenger seat display in Korea. It will be released in the third quarter of this year, and the price has not been set yet.

Grand Koleos is a D-segment SUV. Grand Koleos is produced at the Busan plant, which has the highest level of production quality among Renault Group’s plants worldwide. Renault Korea plans to produce Grand Koleos with around 200 domestic partners and contribute to the continuous development of the Busan partner ecosystem.

Also, Renault Korea is displaying the Grand Koleos at Renault Seongsu, Starfield Suwon, Suwon Business Office, Busan Dongrae Business Office, and Daejeon Business Office. The Grand Koleos is currently taking pre-orders and will be officially released this fall. The Grand Koleos embodies Renault’s core value of ‘a car that accompanies you every day.’

With a wheelbase of 2820mm, the largest in its class, it offers ample and comfortable rear seat space, and 18% of the body is made of ultra-high strength hot press forming (HPF) parts to ensure safety. You can enjoy various video services with the Open R Panoramic Screen, the first in Korea to extend the display to the passenger seat.

5G data is provided free of charge for 5 years. Various electronic devices can also be connected to Wi-Fi in the vehicle by setting up a hotspot. Active driver assist, real-time T-map navigation, and voice recognition system Nugu Auto are standard for all trims. The powertrain consists of gasoline turbo and hybrid.

The Grand Koleos Hybrid combines a 1.64kWh battery with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine and a multi-mode automatic transmission to produce a combined total output of 245 horsepower. The 2.0 gasoline turbo produces a maximum output of 211 horsepower with a 7-speed DCT transmission. The gasoline Esprit Alpine offers 2WD and 4WD.
