Renault Master’s new electric vehicle runs 460km, ‘Aero Van’ concept

Renault announced on the 1st (local time) that its Master Full-Change electric vehicle has secured a driving range of up to 460 km based on WLTP. The new Master electric vehicle is equipped with 40kWh and 87kWh batteries, and the WLTP-based driving range is 200km and 460km, respectively. It was higher than Renault’s own measurements. Domestic release is undecided.

Renault unveiled the Master full change in November last year. The new Master is produced at the Renault factory in France, and global sales will begin in the first quarter of this year. Domestic release is undecided. The new Master operates as a diesel, electric, and hydrogen vehicle. The new Master electric vehicle is an aero van concept that takes air resistance into consideration.

The new Master electric vehicle operates with 40kWh and 87kWh battery specifications. The driving distance when fully charged is 200 km and 460 km, respectively, based on WLTP. The driving distances were measured to be 20km and 50km higher than Renault expected, respectively. It supports a battery thermal management system, 95kW regenerative braking system, and 130kW fast charging.

The new Master electric vehicle has a payload of 1,625 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. The new Master electric vehicle has a single motor configuration with a maximum output of 131 horsepower or 143 horsepower. The maximum torque is 30.6kgm. The new Master electric vehicle is equipped with V2G and external charging device V2L that can supply power to the home.

The front of the new Master features Renault’s latest family look, including ‘C’-shaped daytime running lights, sleekly designed headlamps, and a large grill. The interior features a digital instrument panel, 10-inch display, smartphone wireless charging system, and center table. Trunk capacity is up to 22,000 liters depending on the trim.
