Skoda cuts up to DKK 105,000 from the Enyaq

Skoda is now entering the price war with its popular crossover Enyaq. The new Enyaq 85 with 286 hp now costs DKK 379,995, and the Enyaq RS with 340 hp is down to DKK 424,995.

Finally. A car brand in direct competition with Tesla is taking the consequences of last week’s price cut on the Model Y: Skoda is adjusting the prices of the Enyaq, and the new prices are up to DKK 105,000 lower than the prices announced in September for the updated Enyaq.

The updates include a new, faster and more user-friendly infotainment system, but more importantly a new electric motor. It is found in the new Enyaq 85, which replaces the 80 version – and it comes with an output of 286 hp, where the discontinued 80 version had 204 hp.

The new and lower prices of the Enyaq apply throughout the model range; there are lower prices on the regular Enyaq and on the slightly more expensive Enyaq Coupé, and both the new variant Enyaq 85 and the boosted Enyaq RS (now with 340 hp instead of 299 hp) come at significantly lower prices.

Skoda cuts up to DKK 105,000 from the Enyaq

The most important model drops to DKK 379,995.

The Enyaq model range is large, and in addition to the two different body styles – traditional SUV and coupé SUV – there are two battery sizes, three engine outputs and four equipment levels.

Skoda has planned the prices of the different models differently, and the motto is that the more powerful and more well-equipped variant, the lower the price. The smallest saving – DKK 20,000 – is achieved with the Enyaq 60 Premium, but since 60 versions have a small battery and a range of less than 400 kilometres, they are not interesting. Prices start at DKK 349,995 for the Enyaq 60 Premium.

So far, the Enyaq 80 with Premium equipment has been the most interesting and the best seller. The stronger replacement, Enyaq 85 with Premium equipment, was announced in September to cost DKK 429,995, but before the start of sales it dropped to DKK 419,995. The new price is DKK 379,995, so there is a saving of DKK 40,000. Four-wheel drive costs DKK 20,000 extra, and the model is called Enyaq 85x.

Enyaq Coupé now starts as 60 Premium at DKK 364,995, and the new Enyaq Coupé 85 Premium now costs DKK 394,995.

The very big price drops apply to the Enyaq 85 Laurin & Klement, which comes with the new electric motor and highest level of equipment; the price has so far been DKK 519,995. It is now available for DKK 419,995, so without much overhead there is therefore DKK 100,000 to save.

Skoda has an even greater saving ready for customers who want to go all the way to the top of the model range. Here is the Enyaq RS with four-wheel drive and 340 hp, which used to reign supreme with a price of DKK 529,995. It is suddenly really interesting with a price drop of DKK 105,000, so that it is now available from DKK 424,995.
