The Emily GT electric car will begin to be delivered in August

The founder of the company that bought the Emily electric car project from Nevs says that the car will begin to be delivered on a small scale after the summer. it gets new specifications and “more futuristic” interior.

The Emily GT electric car project, which was developed by Nevs in Trollhättan, was bought last year by the Lebanese company EV Electra. Since then, there have been many fortunes about the future of the car.

Now EV Electra’s founder Jihad Mohammad states that the car will begin to be built on a small scale during the summer in an Italian factory that the company bought.

– We will deliver cars in August to a few people. And when I say few, it could be hundreds and not thousands, he said at a press conference on Wednesday.

The car looks the same as before, but the interior is now described by Jihad Mohammad as “more futuristic”. Some of the specifications will also differ between the prototype and the production-ready car.

The entry price ends up being between 50,000 and 60,000 dollars, but what it corresponds to in Swedish kronor with VAT is unclear.

– I’m still fighting for it to be 50,000 dollars.

That the car will be called Saab is, however, out of the question at the moment. The name belongs to the defense company Saab, but Jihad Mohammad says that “money talks” and that he does not rule out making an offer for the name.

– Nobody wants to give their name to a loser, so let me prove that I’m a very successful guy before I go and knock on the door.
