The most expensive Passerati in our country has a wonderfully powerful engine.

A sexy Volkswagen is not like a spicy librarian, seductive archivist or voluptuous insurance agent. You buy a Volkswagen because you have a complete laundry list of requirements and the Volkswagen scores well on many points. Not because you dream about it.

So if you want a sports sedan that appeals to emotion, look at Alfa Romeo, BMW, Lexus or Volvo. A Passat is a bit too ordinary for many. They also saw this at VW and that is why they launched the Passat CC aka Volkswagen Passerati. In principle you paid more for less, so a lower car with a tighter interior and smaller trunk.

But the Passerati is sportier, has a much nicer interior and only (relatively) big engines. The most reliable of those blocks also happens to be the thickest and we find it under the hood of the most expensive Passerati on Marktplaats.

Not a Passat (but still possible)

The car in question is a Volkswagen CC, indeed WITHOUT a Passat in between. Initially the car was called Volkswagen Passat CC and after the facelift Passat was removed. The ‘CC’ stands for Comfort Coupé. Yes really. At Volkswagen they seemed to forget that CC was somewhat the unanimous name for convertibles with a metal folding roof (the coupe convertible).

You could get the Volkswagen CC with various powerful engines: 1.8 TSI, 2.0 TSI and of course a range of 2.0 TDIs. 4Motion was available on some versions. Allradantrieb was standard on this fat one that you can see on this website. This is the absolute top model, the Passat CC 3.6 4Motion. This has the 3.6 liter VR6 engine under the hood, good for 300 hp and 360 Nm.

The Haldex clutch distributes this over four wheels via a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission (DSG). As an indication: this allows you to sprint to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and you can tap the limiter (250 km/h) with childish ease.

What was also nice about the Passerati was that you could choose from the most beautiful colors for the exterior and interior, but unfortunately we see very little of that here. This copy has a black paint and black leather interior, but luckily it does have a tree stump incorporated into it to give it a bit of an exclusive ambiance. Black is not so much ugly, but it is a bit boring.

The car comes from Germany and was driven there from 2014 to 2019, since then the most expensive Passerati has been present in our country. The last private owner then drove it from 2020 to 2024. Not very much, because the odometer currently shows 90,813 km. So you can handle it for a while.

You would think that the most expensive Passerati in our country is very expensive, but with an asking price of 19,250 euros, that is not so bad. It’s a lot of money for a 10-year-old Passat, but in this case it is the most special variant with luxurious equipment and that pearl of a V6. Interested? You can view the ad here!
