The new Audi A5 looks like this, the dashboard is ’empty’

The new Audi A5 basic model has been unveiled. The new A5 is a full change of the existing A4 and is the first mass-produced car to be equipped with Audi’s new platform, PPC. The interior of the new A5 varies depending on the trim, with the upper trim featuring a passenger display and the lower trim featuring a regular dashboard. The domestic release date has not been set yet.

Audi changed its car naming system to even-numbered electric vehicles and odd-numbered internal combustion engine vehicles. The new A5 is the first model to do so, a full change to the existing A4. The new A5 is the first mass-produced car to use Audi’s new platform PPC (Premium Platform Combustion). The wheelbase is 2900mm, which is ahead of competing models.

The new A5 is operated as a sedan and an Avant. The exterior of the new A5 upper trim is equipped with the S line package, emphasizing the sporty image, and the basic trim is relatively ordinary. However, the new A5 reflects customer opinions and provides a traditional muffler instead of a hidden type fake muffler from the basic trim.

Also, the new A5 base trim does not have matrix LED headlights, so it also lacks animated daytime running lights. The biggest difference between the new A5 base trim and the higher trims is the interior. The new A5 higher trim is equipped with a 10.9-inch passenger display, while the base trim has a plain dashboard.

Audi described the new A5 as having a “perfectly integrated passenger display into the dashboard design.” The wide display, consisting of an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch center display, is standard. The new A5 base trim features fabric seats and a round steering wheel.
