The new Kia Sportage has been captured. The new Sportage is expected to have a full-change level of front design changes, including vertically arranged headlights, star map signature daytime running lights, and an extra-large grille, as part of the 5th generation partial change. The new Sportage will be equipped with various new specifications. It is scheduled to be released in the 4th quarter of this year.
The new Sportage is a partial change of the 5th generation Sportage (NQ5). The 5th generation Sportage was unveiled in June 2021, and has a design different from the existing Kia, such as unique daytime running lights and headlamp configuration. However, the 5th generation Sportage has a partial change, and the front part reflects Kia’s latest family look.
The front of the new Sportage features vertically positioned headlamps, Starmap signature lighting daytime running lights, and a grille with a rectangular design. The daytime running lights are positioned to surround the headlamps and, depending on the trim, also function as turn signals. The headlamps are equipped with cube LEDs.
The new Sportage rear taillights are similar to the current model. The interior graphics are also similar. However, the reverse lights have been integrated into the taillights from the existing bumper. A slim reflector has been applied to the bottom of the bumper. The side remains largely unchanged, with the addition of new wheels. The interior layout is also largely unchanged from the existing model.
It is equipped with the latest specifications such as a new steering wheel, Kia’s next-generation infotainment system ccNC, a center console fingerprint authentication system, and expanded wireless software updates. The new Sportage is available with a 1.6 turbo gasoline, a 1.6 turbo gasoline hybrid, and the 1.6 turbo PHEV is for export only.
