Volvo Electric Vehicle Free Inspection Implementation, Aiming to Relieve Customer Anxiety

Volvo Cars Korea (CEO: Lee Yoon-mo) announced on the 12th that it will provide the ‘Volvo EV Safety Care Service’ to Volvo electric vehicle customers without any time limit. Volvo Cars Korea has been providing the ‘Volvo EV Safety Care Service’ since the 19th of last month in accordance with the government’s electric vehicle safety recommendations. Volvo Cars Korea plans to provide this free inspection service without time limit in order to relieve customers’ anxiety and allow them to drive electric vehicles with confidence.

The models subject to the free inspection are Volvo’s pure electric vehicles, the C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge. The free inspection items include high-voltage battery cell voltage deviation, ▲state of charge (SoC) deviation ▲temperature deviation ▲cooling system ▲thermal management system ▲cable damage and connection status ▲bottom impact damage inspection ▲check for the latest software update, etc., a total of 16 items related to electric vehicle safety are inspected.

Volvo EV Safety Care Service is conducted at 39 official Volvo service centers nationwide. You can check the locations of official Volvo service centers nationwide related to this service through the ‘Hey Volvo’ app, the official Volvo website, and the ‘Service by Volvo’ KakaoTalk channel. Song Kyung-ran, Executive Director of Customer Service at Volvo Cars Korea, said, “In order to relieve the anxiety of electric vehicle customers and create an environment where customers can drive electric vehicles with confidence, we decided to conduct free electric vehicle inspections without time restrictions.” He added, “Volvo Cars Korea will continue to comply with the government’s guidelines and do its best to provide the best products and services to customers.”

Meanwhile, Volvo Cars Korea provides a 5-year or 10km free warranty service so that customers can own their cars without worry for a long time, and an 8-year or 160,000km free warranty for high-voltage batteries. In addition, it operates a ‘lifetime parts warranty system’ that provides a lifetime free warranty for genuine parts that are replaced for a fee through official service centers.
