What do we get? A 992 GT3 RS Cabrio?

How can you make the 992 GT3 RS spoiler look even more ridiculous? By making it a convertible!

Porsche has released almost every conceivable variant of the 911, but what was still missing is a GT3 or GT3 RS Cabrio. Completely logical of course, because such a car is a driving contradiction. And it doesn’t look good.

However, there is now a 992 GT3 RS Cabrio, as you can see in the pictures. You may have already noticed, but this creation does not come from Porsche itself. For this conversion you have to go to the American Wicked Motor Works.

The images are still renders, but Wicked Motor Works will actually build this car. They are capable of doing so, because they previously built a 991 GT3 RS Cabrio. Now they have been commissioned to build two of the 992 GT3 RS Cabrio, and who knows, maybe more will follow.

Wicked will not be cutting the roof off a GT3 RS, but instead a Turbo S Cabrio will be converted into a GT3 RS. So it is a fake GT3 RS. The Americans can also use this trick on a coupe, so that you have a car that is indistinguishable from a real GT3 RS.

Such a GT3 RS Cabrio is at least still unique, but why you would convert a coupe is a mystery to us. You pay the costs of a Turbo S (which is not cheap), plus the costs of the conversion. And then you drive a fake GT3 RS. Yet there are also two customers who ordered a fake GT3 RS coupe on a Turbo S basis.

Wicked Motor Works will in any case get to work to make the depicted car a reality, so you will see the real photos at some point.

Completely logical. With that enormous air brake it is mainly a “hello, look at me” car and that effect is now even stronger.

Indeed: now everyone on the boulevard can see who’s driving such a cool GT3RS. Don’t drive by too fast, okay 🙂

Can they also convert a Targa to Turbo S? And not just the bumpers of course. That would be cool. A burgundy red one please.

If they put as much attention to detail into their cars as they do into their own website then you should probably give it a wide berth. The website is a mess. And if they use a turbo as a base then they will probably leave the 4wd system in there too, which means they can’t put different diameter wheels front and back like they can on the RS. That changes the stance of the car considerably. This has nothing to do with an rs, it’s just a fake show pony.
