Zeekr’s product roadmap revealed

Zeekr’s product roadmap revealed

Ambitious plans

Zeekr, arguably one of the most exciting Geely brands, has had details of its future product plans revealed by Deutsche Bank.

The relatively new Zeekr already has six models on the market in China. With 17,000 cars in May – far ahead of both Volvo and Polestar – they are now in 24th place in Chinese brand statistics and are increasing significantly faster than Lynk & Co, which was 250 cars ahead in May.

Zeekr is probably also the Geely company that has been the least successful with its IPO. Polestar is not exactly the stock exchange’s favorite at the moment, and Lotus, which went public in February, started at just over 10 billion dollars and is now down to 6.62.

Zeekr, which was valued at $5.1 billion at its IPO in May, still has a market capitalization of $4.7 billion. So far an acceptable stock market history.

It goes without saying that a company like Zeekr is monitored by people other than motoring journalists.

For example, bankers.

Given political stability, it is just a matter of settling down to the fact that in the coming years Chinese car manufacturers will launch new brands and models in Norway that few have heard of and far fewer know well. Geely-owned Zeekr is one such, but it may take a couple of years before the premium brand rolls out the X as the first model on Norwegian roads.
