How does a car manufacturer honor a flagship of its own brand? Exactly, with a special model. That is exactly what Skoda has done with the Superb did.

The Superb has been Skoda’s successful model for more than 20 years and enjoys an extremely important status in the Czech model range. Introduced in 2001, the Superb quickly became the benchmark for quality, practicality and value in its segment.

The third generation of the Superb is the best-selling model to date. Now that the new generation has been introduced, Skoda UK has commissioned a hand-built special model to celebrate generation number three – the Superb Sleeper Edition. So it’s an inconspicuous model on the outside, but it has plenty of power under the hood.

Skoda Superb Combi with 477 hp and 661 Nm

The basis is the Superb Combi 2.0 TSI 280 PS 4×4, which was the most powerful and fastest series Skoda in history at the time of its launch in 2016. RE Performance was brought on board for the project.

The Superb Sleeper Edition features all-wheel drive and a number of modifications that increase engine output from 280 hp and 350 Nm of torque to 477 hp and 661 Nm. The engine is equipped with an improved turbo and a revised fuel system. Improvements to the intake tract and intercooler increase performance.

The “Sleeper Edition” is based on the Superb Combi 2.0 TSI 280 PS 4×4, which was the most powerful and fastest series-produced Skoda in history at the time of its launch in 2016.

To ensure that the special model is manageable, the vehicle was lowered by 50 millimeters and equipped with a performance brake set – consisting of larger grooved discs and improved brake calipers.

The special model is painted in Royal Green – the color was chosen in 2023 to mark the coronation of King Charles III. launched in the UK. The interior features perforated leather in cognac brown with contrast stitching and a massage function for the driver’s seat.
