The facelift for the Volvo XC90 has been leaked by Volvo Car Switzerland. This is what the updated XC90 will look like.
Volvo had plans to go fully electric and some time ago presented a brand new Volvo XC90 in the form of the electric EX90.
Production of this started earlier this year, but in the meantime the old XC90 is still on the price lists. Because yes, Volvo does not want to bet everything on electric with this model.
Fresh new face
The current Volvo XC90 has been with us for nine years now and will remain on the price lists next to the EX90 for the time being. Only as a hybrid of course. Volvo is of course moving as much as possible towards electric driving.
Now the first photos have been leaked by Volvo Car Switzerland. They had already put the new order site live on their socials. Perhaps the first copies have even been sold.
Subtle facelift Volvo XC90 leaked
As expected, this is a subtle facelift. Thor’s hammer is still visible in the headlights and we get a first look at the interior where the necessary updates have been made in terms of infotainment and operation.
Furthermore, the grille is particularly striking. The Swedish brand seems to have looked at BMW and introduces asymmetrical diagonal lines in the grille. Love it or hate it. In any case, the Volvo XC90 is completely fresh again.
For sharp photos and all the details, the “new” Volvo XC90 will be officially revealed during an event called 90/90 Day on September 4, 2024. Until then, we have to make do with the leaked Volvo XC90.

I’ll take the EX90. Or better yet, the Polestar 3. Or better yet, a mid-range sedan or station wagon.

Totally unnecessary van in a country where the average number of children per family is only 1.49…

Then every similar car in that class is a van?

There are childless people, which means that -to reach this average- there are also larger families. They are only too happy with a safe seven-seater. Check the sales figures of the XC90 and you will see that this is not an unnecessary car at all.

The grille is very original, otherwise nothing new really.

It appears to be a facelift, quite literally.
