The price of the Cupra Tavascan is known. In any case, we now know that Wouter will save hard.
By now we are all used to the Cupra brand. It is of course a bit of a marketing exercise, but with products that deliver on the promise. So well-known VW technology in a slightly smoother and more attractive guise with slightly sportier driving characteristics. The Cupra showroom is also starting to get fuller and fuller. The Cupra Tavascan is the third unique Cupra after the Cupra Formentor and Cupra Born. And then there is a Cupra Leon and Cupra Leon Sportstourer.
Not so long ago (six days to be precise) Wouter went for a drive with the Tavascan and our raving reporter was quite pleased with it. Usually a car needs to have 400-500 horsepower to produce a smile, but he was certainly pleased with the overall package of the latest Cupra. The Eminence Grise did have a disclaimer: a lot depends on the price.
Price Cupra Tavascan
Well, we have news for you, because the price of the Cupra Tavascan has just been announced. The Spanish electric crossover costs… *drum roll* 49,995 euros! *drum roll out*.
Business
For that money you get a Cupra Tavascan Business with 286 hp and 569 km of range. The standard color is Urano Gray, but you can opt for Atacama Desert metallic paint for the Business at no extra cost. 19-inch alloys are also standard, as are LED headlights, sports seats and a navigation system with 15-inch touchscreen.
Adrenalin
The next step is the Cupra Tavascan Adrenaline. This is listed for 56,490 euros in the price list and has the same 286 hp of power and 546 km of range. The Adrenaline looks a lot better with its 21-inch ‘Katla Copper’ rims, Matrix LED lighting and Dinimica upholstery (alcantara that we don’t call alcantara).
VZ Adrenalin
The top model is the VZ Adrenalin. This looks the same as the Adrenaline above, but has more power under the hood, namely 340 hp. The operating radius is slightly less due to the larger number of Spanish horses, but with 515 hp it is still more than acceptable. A Cupra Tavascan duvet is not standard, but @wouter may have an extra one. The price of the Cupra Tavascan VZ Adrenaline is 62,990 euros.
Competition
Then the competition. What about that?

Simple: the Cupra Tavascan is cheaper than the technically largely identical Volkswagen and Skoda. We must note that they are available in cheaper versions. The more spacious SUV versions are cheaper and you can choose from less power and range.
But if you want performance, range and don’t want to spend more than 50 grand, then you’re in the right place with Cupra. And Tesla, because the Model Y Long Range RWD has 340 hp and 600 km range and costs 49,990 euros. In short, it’s getting close in this segment! You can assemble the Cupra Tavascan here!

So if the VW and Skoda model does not get a Seat variant and only a Cupra model, then it is a unique model?
