Fiat unveiled the Grande Panda on the 14th (local time). The Grande Panda is a compact SUV with a boxy, retro exterior design that reflects the design elements of past Pandas. The Grande Panda powertrain operates as an electric vehicle and hybrid. Production of the Grande Panda will begin in the second half of this year.

Starting with the Grande Panda, Fiat plans to launch new vehicles into the global market every year until 2027. The Grande Panda is based on the Stellantis Group smart car platform, like the new Citroen C3. The overall length of the Grande Panda is 3990mm, which is 337mm longer than the previous generation. Based on domestic cars, it is between Hyundai Motor Company’s Casper and Venue. The exterior of the Grande Panda has a retro style that reflects the design of past Pandas.

The front is equipped with headlamps with a pixelated ‘X’ pattern and a grill that is naturally connected to the headlamps. A pixelated pattern was also applied to the bottom of the front bumper. Additionally, the pixelated pattern was also reflected in the graphics inside the rear tail lamp. The Grande Panda features a boxy silhouette and roof rails.

The interior of the Grande Panda has not been revealed, but Fiat explains that it is optimized for families and urban mobility in all countries and that it seats five people. The Grande Panda powertrain operates as an electric vehicle equipped with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, a 48V mild hybrid combination, and a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) 44kWh battery.
