Alfa Romeo Junior goes on sale – first up is the hybrid

At last, it’s the start of sales for the Alfa Romeo Mi … Junior. Initially, it will be the hybrid Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida that ends up at the dealers. What do you think of the price?

You have two versions to choose from: Core and the more generously equipped Speciale. Soon, the all-electric Junior Elettrica version will also be offered, for those of you who prefer to run the rope.

If you can’t wait, with Alfa DNA in your blood, you’ll appreciate the top speed, which is said to reach 206 km/h. You then get to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and have several driving programs to choose from: Alfa DNA (pleasant enough), Dynamic, Natural and Advanced Efficiency.

Some range specifications are not yet available but are “subject to confirmation during the approval process”, according to the manufacturer’s website.

In the luggage compartment, you have room for 415 liters or 1,280 liters with the back seat folded down, with a luggage floor that can also be adjusted to three height levels.

If we look away from the rear and open the hood, we find a three-cylinder petrol engine of 1.2 liters, which is supplemented by a 21 kW electric motor. A six-speed dual-clutch gearbox provides a smooth driving experience.

On the other hand, you won’t get to experience the opportunity to drive fully electric at speeds of up to 150 km/h, as the maximum speed in Sweden is 120 km/h. But the functions e-Launch, e-Creeping, e-Parking, e-Queueing and e-Boost will hopefully change your mind.

As mentioned, the order books are open and prices start at SEK 349,000 for the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida Core, and SEK 369,000 for the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida Speciale.
