This is the brand new BMW M5 Touring.
In the pipeline for a long time and now here on your screen. BMW doesn’t want you to see the new M5 Touring yet, but thanks to a mistake by BMW Belux you can already see the brand’s fattest new family car.
The looks are not entirely a surprise. We already knew the BMW 5 Series Touring. We already knew the M5. Combine those things and you get this. The bright color makes it immediately clear that you are dealing with the daddy here. The fattest!
After a few generations of absence, the M5 Touring is back. The previous generations were not exactly successes. BMW is therefore taking a gamble by releasing an M5 based on the new generation.
It is the first time that BMW will sell the M5 Touring in the United States of America. This unique asset may provide the necessary sales. Audi also sells the RS6 Avant there and Mercedes sells the AMG E63S Estate. BMW was absent for a long time, but that will soon come to an end with the arrival of the new M5 Touring.
The drivetrain is of course already known. A PHEV, consisting of a 4.4 liter turbo V8 and an electric motor. The system power is 727 hp and the torque is a rather bizarre 1,000 Nm. The sedan goes to a hundred in 3.5 seconds and the top is at 305 km/h. The Touring will give up something, but then we are talking about tenths.
