You don’t need anything more than this BMW 2 Series

The new Manhart MH2 450 is a complete package.

500 hp, 600 hp, 700 hp. In fact, nothing should surprise you in 2024. For public roads, it quickly becomes overkill. With around 300 hp, you can get by just fine. The undersigned believes that between 400-450 hp is the sweet spot. Well, Manhart happens to have some news to report on this very subject.

Based on the BMW M240i they present the MH2 450. A fine package to get a little more spice out of the 2 series. The M2 is just above it with its standard 460 hp, but as said: you don’t really need that much hp anymore. This Manhart MH2 450 completes the picture.

As you may know, the M240i is equipped with the B58 straight-six. A delicious six-cylinder engine from BMW that can be found in the brand’s products, but also in a Morgan, for example. It’s a sweet engine, just ask B58 ambassador Martijn Gizmo.

This engine is excellent for tickling. That is exactly what Manhart has done, in moderation, with the MH2 450. The standard 374 hp and 500 Nm of torque have been boosted and the car is now good for 450 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The increased power is thanks to a MHtronik powerbox and a modified end silencer for the exhaust.

Inside, Manhart took the MH2 450 even further by fitting an Alcantara steering wheel and carbon fibre shift paddles.

As mentioned, this is enough for everyday use. However, you can shop for a Stage 2 or Stage 3 at Manhart if you want more power. With this demo, they went a step further when it comes to looks. For example, you can get H&R lowering springs or a coilover kit from KW. The 20 inch wheels also stand out nicely. The diffuser, front spoiler and rear spoiler made of carbon for this BMW are also not standard.

The looks may not be to your taste, but the tuning sounds nice!
