Cadillac Optic ADAS Specifications Revealed, Super Cruise Standard

Cadillac released the specifications of the Optiq on the 23rd (local time). The Optiq is a compact SUV smaller than the Cadillac Lyriq and can travel 483 km on a single charge according to the EPA standard. The Optiq is equipped with the latest driver assistance systems including Super Cruise and a 33-inch display as standard. Domestic release has not been decided yet.

The Optic is a compact SUV based on GM’s dedicated electric vehicle BEV3 platform, equipped with Ultium batteries and Ultium Drive. The Optic can be seen as a luxury version of the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV, with its main competitor being the Model Y Performance. Production of the Optic has begun at GM’s Mexico plant.

The Optic US price is set at $54,000. The Optic comes standard with forward collision avoidance assist, reverse automatic braking, blind spot avoidance assist, high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian warning, side bicycle warning, HD surround vision, and intersection automatic emergency braking system.

In particular, the hands-free driving assistance system Super Cruise, which supports automatic lane changes, is also applied as standard. The optic also comes standard with heated front seats, a panoramic fixed roof, Dolby Atmos 19-speaker AKG Studio audio, and a 33-inch curved display with integrated digital instrument panel and display.

The Optic can travel 483 km on a single charge with an 85 kWh battery according to EPA standards. The Optic is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, generating a combined total output of 304 horsepower and a maximum torque of 48.8 kgm. The Optic body size is 4820 mm in total length, 2954 mm in wheelbase, and the exterior reflects Cadillac’s latest design language.
