Chevrolet’s new Silverado HD Trail Boss unveiled, large off-road pickup truck

Chevrolet unveiled the new Silverado HD Trail Boss on the 24th (local time). The new Silverado HD Trail Boss is an off-road specialized trim optimized for driving on rough roads and has specifications that differentiate it from the regular model, such as a dedicated suspension, dedicated decals, and 20-inch black wheels. The price was not disclosed.

The Silverado HD is a Chevrolet full-size pickup truck. The new Silverado HD Trail Boss is an off-road specialized trim exclusive to the LT and LTZ trims. The new Silverado HD Trail Boss suspension is optimized for rough road driving with unique upper and lower control arms, steering knuckles, and multimatic DSSV dampers.

The minimum ground clearance of the new Silverado HD Trail Boss is more than 200 mm higher than the regular model. All-terrain tires wrap 20-inch black wheels exclusively for Trail Boss. In addition, new ‘Trail Boss’ lettering decals, red color hooks on the front, black emblems on the front and rear, and black side mirrors were applied.

The new Silverado HD Trail Boss powertrain is based on a 6.6-liter V8 gasoline naturally aspirated engine. It has a maximum output of 401 horsepower and a maximum torque of 64.1 kgm. The optional 6.6-liter V8 Duramax turbo diesel engine has a maximum output of 477 horsepower and a maximum torque of 134.6kgm. All are combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet unveiled the 2025 Silverado HD along with the Silverado HD Trail Boss trim. Depending on the trim, the 2025 Silverado HD is equipped with customer-preferred specifications such as front and rear parking assistance and new adaptive cruise control. A new 20-inch wheel and black-out package has been added.
