Karin Radström is already on the board. From October she will be the head of the commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck. To date, there have only been very few women at the top of a DAX company.

(dpa/Car Whiz/KI) There is a change in leadership at Daimler Truck: Karin Radström will be the new Chairwoman of the Board of Management from October 1. This was announced by the company based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart. The 45-year-old Radström, who has been a member of the Board of Management since 2021, takes over the position from Martin Daum, who will leave his position early at the end of December 31, 2024.

Until his official departure, Daum will continue to oversee the Financial Services, Daimler Buses and IT divisions and ensure a smooth transition.

Daimler Truck employs more than 100,000 people

Karin Radström, who comes from Sweden, will remain responsible for the Europe and Latin America regions as well as for the brand Mercedes Benz Truck until a decision is made on her successor. Her new mandate is scheduled to run until 2029.

Daimler Truck is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles and employs more than 100,000 people. In the USA, the group has brands such as Freightliner and Western Star. The company’s product portfolio includes light, medium and heavy trucks.
