Ford Explorer partial change domestic specifications, virtually a full package

The domestic specifications of the Ford Explorer partial change have been released. According to dealer officials, the Explorer partial change is the top Platinum trim, and the 13.2-inch display, first-row electric seats, the latest ADS system, and other domestic customer-preferred specifications are standard. It is a 2.3 EcoBoost 7-seater. It is scheduled to be released within the year.

The domestic specification of the new Explorer is the top Platinum trim. The US price of the new Explorer Platinum is $51,525 (about 69 million won). It is expected to be a slight increase from the domestic price of the current model, 68.65 million won. In addition, the new Explorer hybrid has been discontinued globally, so it will not be released in Korea.

The new Explorer comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13.2-inch display, heated and ventilated front and rear power seats, heated second-row seats, Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, a Class III trailering package, and a wireless smartphone charging system.

It also offers 3-zone air conditioning, 2nd-row sunblinds, 360-degree surround view, multi-contour 1st-row seats with active motion massage function, adaptive LED headlamps, 1st-row center console armrest leather cover, ambient lamps, 2nd-row captain’s seat, front/rear parking assist sensors, and illuminated door sill plates.

The new Explorer’s domestic powertrain is the 2.3 Ecoboost. The 2.3-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine and 10-speed automatic transmission are combined to produce a maximum output of 304 horsepower and a maximum torque of 42.9 kgm. Four-wheel drive is standard. The combined fuel efficiency is 8.7 km/â„“ (city 7.6, highway 10.4) based on 20-inch wheels. It has a 7-seater configuration.
