Ford Maverick partial modifications pre-released, small pickup truck ‘strongest’

Ford Maverick partial changes were released in advance. The partial change to the Maverick published in Carbuzz, an overseas automobile media outlet, shows the front design with ‘ㄱ’ shaped headlamps and a new grille. Maverick is a compact pickup truck with a monocoque body and is basically a hybrid. It will be released in the third quarter.

Maverick is a monocoque small pickup truck. The current Maverick, unveiled in 2021, sold 94,058 units in the United States last year, overwhelming its rival, Hyundai Motor Company’s Santa Cruz (36,675 units). In particular, Maverick is expected to sell approximately 80,000 units from January to May this year, easily exceeding last year’s sales volume.

The Maverick’s partial change significantly changed the front design. The front of the new Maverick is equipped with an ‘ㄱ’ shaped headlamp housing and a new grill. The turn signals are integrated into the headlamps. The grill size is smaller than the previous model, and a unique pattern is placed inside. The bumper panel was also changed.

The sides and rear of the new Maverick remain unchanged as it is a partial change to the pickup truck. For the lowest trim of the new Maverick, steel wheels were maintained. The interior is equipped with Ford’s latest infotainment system, an 8-inch display, and a dial-type gear lever. The sense of luxury increases through changes in interior materials.

The new Maverick powertrain is a hybrid as standard. The combination of a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine, electric motor, and CVT transmission produces a combined total output of 191 horsepower. The 2.0-liter EcoBoost is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and produces a maximum output of 250 horsepower. The Maverick comes standard with front-wheel drive.
