The new Ford Expedition has been revealed. The new Expedition, which was posted on the overseas automobile media outlet Autoblog, has been confirmed to have undergone major changes, including a newly designed front end, a tailgate that opens separately from the top and bottom, and an interior dual display. The new Expedition will be revealed within the year.
The current Expedition is a full-size SUV that was released globally in 2018. The Expedition is currently available in Korea. The new Expedition is expected to undergo a major change with its second partial modification. The front of the new Expedition reflects the latest family look, including the ‘C’-shaped daytime running lights and square headlamps.
The headlamps, daytime running lights, and grille are naturally connected. The new Expedition tailgate opens separately at the top and bottom, a method used in the Range Rover and others. The new Expedition is newly available with an off-road-specific trim that features 18-inch wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, and dedicated suspension.
The interior of the new Expedition features a digital instrument panel and a dashboard display that functions as a navigation system, an 11.1-inch auxiliary display that can control the overall vehicle body, including air conditioning and seats, a new steering wheel, and wireless smartphone charging. A volume dial and physical buttons are placed on the center fascia.
The new Expedition off-road-specific trim interior features seats with the trim name Tremor engraved on them, orange stitching, etc. The new Expedition powertrain consists of a 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The maximum output is 405 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 66 kgm. The latest ADAS system is standard.
