The launch date of the Genesis GV60 Magma has been revealed. According to Drive, an overseas automobile media outlet, Genesis will begin mass production of the GV60 Magma in the third quarter of next year and begin global sales in the second half. The GV60 Magma is the first mass-produced model of the ‘Genesis Magma’, which embodies Genesis’ will to expand its high-performance brand.

“The GV60 Magma is Genesis’ first Magma model, with production starting in the third quarter of 2025,” a Genesis Australia official told Drive. “We plan to launch it in global markets, including Korea and Australia, in the second half of the year. Our competitors will be BMW M, Mercedes AMG, and Audi RS Sport.”

The GV60 Magma features a wide and low body based on the Genesis Magma’s signature color orange. It is equipped with a Magma-exclusive body kit, including a front bumper lower air vent, 21-inch titanium-colored wheels, wide fender, upper fender air vent, front splitter, side skirt, roof wing, and rear diffuser.

The GV60 Magma’s performance has not been revealed. The GV60 Magma is expected to be equipped with a next-generation battery system and electric motor. It recorded 52.72 seconds at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​Shootout held in the UK earlier this month, taking 16th place overall. It is faster than the Porsche Taycan GT.
