Genesis GV80 Coupe confidence, more expensive than BMW X6 in the US

Genesis USA announced on the 13th (local time) that it would disclose the price of the GV80 Coupe and begin sales in the third quarter. The GV80 Coupe has a differentiated design, such as a smoothly falling roofline, based on partial changes to the GV80. It is only operated with the 3.5 Turbo in the United States, and the starting price is more expensive than the BMW X6.

The GV80 Coupe is sold only in the U.S. with 3.5 Turbo AWD and 3.5 Turbo 48V e-Supercharger AWD. The prices are $79,950 (about 110 million won) and $85,750 (about 120 million won), respectively. The starting price is $5,450 (about 7.5 million won) more expensive than the BMW X5. The top model is slightly cheaper than the AMG GLE Coupe.

For reference, the domestic price of the GV80 Coupe is 82.55 million won for the 2.5 turbo, 86.75 million won for the 3.5 turbo, and 91.9 million won for the 3.5 turbo 48V e-supercharger. In addition, the GV80 Coupe 3.5 Turbo 48V e-Supercharger full package costs 107.7 million won, which is similar to the domestic price of the X6. The GV80 Coupe’s US specifications range from the basic model to full options.

GV80 Coupe US specifications include 20-inch wheels, panoramic glass roof, electric trunk, 27-inch OLED display, Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, first-row ventilated and heated seats, Nappa leather seats, head-up display, digital rearview mirror, 3- Zone air conditioning, surround view, and the latest ADAS are standard.

GV80 Coupe powertrain performance is the same as in Korea. The GV80 Coupe 3.5 Turbo is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission and produces a maximum output of 380 horsepower. The GV80 Coupe 3.5 Turbo 48V e-Supercharger produces a maximum output of 415 horsepower along with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The GV80 Coupe supports sport+ mode and launch control.
