GMC unveils new Terrain, Equinox luxury version

GMC unveiled the new Terrain on the 12th (local time). The new Terrain is a third-generation full-change and shares its platform and powertrain with the Chevrolet Equinox full-change. The new Terrain is based on GMC’s latest design language and is equipped with the latest specifications, including a 15-inch display. Domestic release has not been decided yet.

The new Terrain will be introduced with the off-road-specific trim AT4 and the flagship trim Denali in 2025.

The overall silhouette of the new Terrain is similar to the new Equinox. The front of the new Terrain features GMC’s latest family look, including the ‘C’ shaped daytime running lights and large grille. The AT4 and Denali trim headlamps support LED animation. The AT4 also gets a metal underbody protection cover.

The new Terrain comes with 17-inch wheels as standard, with options for up to 20-inch wheels. Inside, it features an 11-inch digital instrument panel, a 15-inch vertical display, a surround vision camera that provides up to eight views, a digital rearview mirror, a wireless smartphone charging system, Google Assistant, and a 5G hotspot.

The new Terrain is equipped with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, generating a maximum output of 175 horsepower and a maximum torque of 28 kgm. Four-wheel drive is standard. The new Terrain comes standard with the latest driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and hill start assist.
