Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT unveiled, American-inspired off-roader

Hyundai Motor America unveiled the Ioniq 5 XRT on the 3rd (local time). The Ioniq 5 XRT is based on the partial change of the Ioniq 5 and is optimized for off-road driving with a dedicated suspension and all-terrain tires, and offers an interior and exterior design differentiated from the general model. It is the first to be equipped with a NACS charging port.

The Ioniq 5 XRT is an off-road-specific trim based on the partial change of the Ioniq 5. The domestic introduction of the Ioniq 5 XRT is undetermined. The Ioniq 5 XRT has a dedicated suspension applied, which raises the minimum ground clearance by 23mm compared to the general model. In addition, matte black 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tires have been added.

The all-terrain tire size is 235/60. The exterior of the Ioniq 5 XRT is differentiated from the general model with the front bumper and fender flares, rear digital camo pattern, and front bumper tow hook. In particular, the approach angle has been improved by changing the front bumper design. The interior features seats with XRT Roro engraved on them.

Black headliner and XRT floor mats are standard. The Ioniq 5 XRT is powered by a long-range battery and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The 84 kWh battery provides an EPA-estimated range of 451 km. The Ioniq 5 is the first Hyundai to use Tesla Superchargers via the North American Standard Charging Port (NACS).

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company launched the Ioniq 5 E-Value+ on September 3. The Ioniq 5 E-Value+ is a practical trim with some specifications slimmed down to increase accessibility to electric vehicle purchases. It can travel up to 368 km with a 63 kWh battery. It is equipped with fabric seats, etc. The price is 47 million won based on tax benefits.
