Jeep Avenger subsidy confirmed at 3.59 million won, actual purchase price in the 40 million won range

The Jeep Avenger government subsidy has been confirmed. According to the Ministry of Environment’s EV website, the Avenger government subsidy is set at 3.59 million won. With local government subsidies, it can be purchased for around 43 million won depending on the region. The Avenger is Jeep’s first electric vehicle and can travel up to 295 km in Korea. The price starts at 52.9 million won.

The Avenger is currently undergoing domestic pre-orders. It will be officially released on September 4th. The prices are 52.9 million won for the Longitude and 56.4 million won for the Altitude. The first 100 customers who pre-order the Avenger will receive immediate delivery benefits within September, and customers who complete delivery after pre-ordering will be eligible for electric vehicle charging subsidies through a drawing.

The national subsidy for the Avenger has been set at 3.59 million won. By adding local government subsidies, the actual purchase price can be lowered to 40 million won based on the Longitude. Based on Seoul, the Longitude can be purchased for 48.49 million won and the Altitude for 51.99 million won. In Ulleung-gun, where the local government subsidy is the highest, the actual purchase price of the Longitude is 43.24 million won.

The Avenger is equipped with a 54kWh lithium-ion battery. The driving range on a single charge is 295km at room temperature and 274km at low temperatures according to the Ministry of Environment. It takes about 24 minutes to charge the battery from 20% to 80% with a 100kW rapid charger. The Avenger is a single-motor front-wheel drive with a maximum output of 156 horsepower and a maximum torque of 26.5kgm.

The Avenger is 4080mm long, 160mm shorter than the Renegade. The exterior reflects Jeep’s design heritage, including the 7-slot grille and ‘X’ shaped lamps. The interior features a 10.25-inch display and various storage spaces. The latest ADAS, including adaptive cruise control and lane centering assist, are standard.
