Lincoln Nautilus has the highest level of safety, but who are the rear seat passengers?

Lincoln said the Nautilus passed all crash safety tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Nautilus earned Top Safety Pick+ by receiving high ratings for small overlap on the front and sides of the vehicle, and moderate overlap in rear seat safety.

To receive IIHS’s Top Safety Pick+, a vehicle must receive an excellent rating in the small overlap test on the front and sides of the vehicle, a good or excellent rating in the moderate overlap test that emphasizes rear seat safety, and a good or good rating in the pedestrian front collision prevention evaluation. Good or better headlamps are also essential.

The Nautilus, which was also released in Korea last year, met all IIHS test requirements and received Top Safety Pick+. In particular, Nautilus is said to have obtained an overall excellent score in the Moderate Overlap Test, which distinguishes Top Safety Pick+ from Top Safety Pick, which is a lower grade.

The Nautilus crash test results showed that the body shape was well maintained and the risk of injury to the driver and rear seat passengers was not high. During a collision, both shoulder and lap belts were maintained in an ideal position to control rear seat dummy movement without generating excessive belt forces that could cause injury.

Meanwhile, Nautilus is a model that develops ‘quiet flight’ into a more dynamic digital space. Since its domestic launch in November last year, Nautilus has recorded cumulative sales of 847 units as of May this year. Lincoln Co-Pilot 360, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and collision avoidance, is standard.
